I'll be away this weekend, but hopefully in the next few weeks I'd join in for a ride on the fraser. Anyone in Ladner area to leave from? I'll probly have to wait until it gets a bit warmer because all I have right now is a shorty wet suit... Oh and BTW just picked up my new ski last week! Took it out for an hour and froze my ass off but it was worth it.

Ok - weather permitting still, of course, it is suggested that we start with a smaller ride, but we can extend if we all feel up to it.
Choices - Explore the Fraser or Explore Crescent Beach in White Rock.

Well, I don't think old man winter is letting us off so easy. I'm looking outside and snow is coming down hard! Same is predicted for tomorrow and I'm still with my shorty wetsuit. I'm not sure even if I had a drysuit I'd go out. brrrrrr!

If you only have a shorty, it's probably not safe yet.
If it's nice tomorrow, i will try a short run, but i have a longer wetsuit...

Sorry guys. The snow and cold weather had dampened my spirits - I only have a shorty wetsuit - and I'm a wimp.
I'm gonna look harder for a full wetsuit and will hopefully be in for the next one.
Good luck! Look forward to a trip report.
Mike - I'm in Ladner so if/when the next one comes up we can launch here and meet the group wherever. Ridin the river is more fun than towing a trailer.

Since it was just molson canadian and I, we decided to launch out of Ft. Langley...
Well, I didnt even get to ride - I ATE ROCKS in the launch! MotherF@#$#@!!! I just started up and was idling downstream about 2 ft. --> right into a small bank of small rocks!
The river was so low, molson canadian (Dennis) had to put my trailer in and out with his 4x4 - thank you!
molson canadian actually had a chance to ride up and down a bit, but i held him back with my new rock digger.
However, we found that the long thick wetsuits work just fine! Booties helped and good gloves are a must.
See u all next Saturday - if my ski is ready?
Bring your warm clothes!!!Last edited by TheBaldEagle; 03-29-2008 at 04:35 PM.
