    Default 1050/piston clearance

We are installing Wiseco pistons(1.0 mm oversize) in a 1050 Polaris triple..........What clearance has been working the best for these forged pistons in the PWC application??? We're thinking 0.0045" - .00055".............

I've had no experience with PWC engines but have bad luck with Wisecos in snowmobiles when the clearance is too tight(close to factory specs.)..........

    Thanks in advance,

    Glen

    Glen,
You are right about the Seizeco pistons. They must be set up loose. I only use them as a very last resort. They expand faster & more than cast pistons. When using them, you must make sure you warm the engine up before going WOT. I'd set them up at .0055" - .006".
