Gas in Oil tank..
i'm thinking of buying a sea-doo and rented one this past weekend.. i had someone put gas in it, and they put gas in the oil tank... probably a little over a liter..
we tried to start the sea-doo, but of course it didn't work and didn't run at all, we didn't try to start it again after that.. we towed it and had the rental guy pick it up... he has a damage deposit of $1500 and said he would get it done and return the money..
what does the repair involved and how much should i expect it to cost? i don't want to get fleeced by this guy.

if that is the only problem, they need to drain the oil tank and re-fill with oil. probably $50 in oil and an hour labour would be my guess.

I agree....no big deal.
As long as it didn't run....no chance of damage.
After all...the engine goes burn gas and oil mixed.....you just would have been running with not enough oil and too much gas.
Now the guy that filled it should be shot....there are labels on the gas and oil caps!!

As long as it didnt start , you'll be ok.
If it did, there's a chance of some damage. the gas kills the oil . no lubrication isn't good. just ask my girlfriend.
What did the rental dude say?
