    Saturday August 22nd.

Departure Penticton BC, sometime mid - late AM. waters always calm.
    Fuel stop in Kelowna
    Fuel stop in Vernon
    Head North up Indian Arm
Head South back down to Kelowna- Fuel buzzer went off at about 5 miles before Kelowna Marina. We were giving er from Northern most point to Kelowna.

The Ultras get almost to the mile ( 50 miles ) to a tank ( 96 Liters ). We did this run last year and was the best run I have experienced. There was a 1200 2-Stroke with us and his fuel bill was half of the Ultras however had to top up at all fuel stops. Peachland to Penticton on the last leg back to Penticton is awesome chop and deep swells, late afternoon... hopefully!

The ultra's are notoriously very thirsty machines. The SC Sea Doo's generally have much better fuel economy so you should be fine for a 60 L tank. My X ski on the other hand might not be so fine...

I'm interested in coming to Victoria too, only the 12th weekend I won't be around. If it happens on another weekend I 'd try to make it!

The Victoria run would be better for me too on another date.

    Suggestion
You want to ride from whiterock around the bottom of Saturna Island to Victoria. I have sailed out that way quite a bit. That is open water and the condition can change just like that. If some thing happens i.e hit a log, ski breaks for some reason you are up the creek cause there is nothing out there.
In my opinion the safe way and more senic way would be from white rock or captian cove out canoe pass to active pass. Through the pass out to the gulf islands down to sydney than to victoria. You are sheltered from the weather conditions better smoother water and you are close to any island if there is a problem plus more fuels stations.

    Any opinions??/
    my 2 cents

    Hello

Dates can be adjusted, no probs and completely open. Maybe start a new post for this run because of the interest?

GAS- as mentioned above. 60L tanks will be fine for Sea Doo and will burn less than the Ultras. hehe Mike knows.

Departure Points- This was actually mapped out by an Aviator who is a friend of mine and the most direct/ safest route. Tides will not be a problem and if there is a breakdown, there is someone to help. This will be a good easy run and personally hope the waters are rough. (c:

Please advise of new post on CPWC, date. PLEEEEZ keep on Sunday.
    Thanks
