    Default Spots on Vancouver Island

    Hey All,

Here's a few of the major spots on the island....but we've got loads of lakes and all kinds of ocean front ;-)

A couple spots on the island for you:

    Elk Lake (near Victoria)
Boat ramp and trailer parking around the far side of the lake from the highway. Just be sure to give the rowers ample space.

    Cowichan Lake (North of Duncan)
Lots of boat ramps....huge 27km long lake...lots of camping with boat launches as well

    Shawnigan Lake (near Mill Bay)
Another big lake...lost of boat launches as this lake is used alot for waterskiing...complete with waterski jumps.

    Cheers

I go out there. It was a designated PWC launch area but if no one uses it we'll lose it.
