2002 gtx rfi
Hi everyone, I am a new member. Last weekend my machine brokedown on the lake due to a failed battery . I have changed the battery starts fine now but when I did a test run yesterday it sounds like it is bogging and won't go above 10mph. The front end seems heavy too. Have I flooded the engine compartment and is there anything I can do before I take it to a mechanic?
Thanks
Scott

when you say flooded, is it flooded with water and how much is in the engine compartment?

It sounds odd when I put it in the water last night. It doesn't rev up the same , seems sluggish. Don't know how to explain it but when I gave it gas the front end dropped a couple inches into the water for a few seconds. I had both seats off and there is no water lying in there. But the machine seems heavier than usual.

It was a combination. The battery was shot and a new spark plug was shot. I replaced the plugs and got a new battery. I still have to take it out and see if the battery will charge or if I have some more work ahead of me on this one.
