Fatal Sea Doo accident a reminder to stay safe on the water
VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - Even though summer is winding down, water activities are still ongoing and so are the safety warnings. A brutal Sea Doo accident on the east side of Shawnigan Lake has killed a 25-year-old Victoria man.
RCMP were called to the scene just after 3 p.m. on Sunday. Two Sea Doos were wake jumping behind a friend's boat. One Sea Doo jumped the wake and then nose dived under the water where the victim struck his head. He was pronounced dead roughly an hour later. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
