Smile Finally Finished My Audio Project

    Well, I've finished my stereo.

    http://www.gooddeals18.com/c=BH4jX9m...radio-pkg.html

I used plumbers goop to seal all the holes. In the front storage bin, I used a Star-Frit Lock 'n' lock container (air tight, water tight) to house the amp. I screwed the container lid to the SeaDoo compartment lid and sealed the top of the SeaDoo lid as well as the underside of the lock 'n' lock container. I put velcro to hold the amp to the bottom of the lock 'n' lock container. The reason I Screwed the container lid is so I can simply unlock the tabs and remove the amp to take inside. I'm using a SeaDoo Seascooter (sealed lead acid) battery to power it. It's a 12 volt battery. I've had the stereo running for about 8 hours and it's still at 12 volts. I figure I'll be able to get 20-30+ hours per charge. My Mom sewed some velcro straps to hold the battery in place and I bolted them to the rear storage container, applying the pumbers goop to seal the holes. I have water resistant connectors so I can remove the storage container when needed. I mounted the speakers up high on the front cover, behind the steering column as to keep them from covering the mirrors. The placement does not interfere with the steering either. It's taken way longer than I planned, but I'm happy with the result. I can't wait to get it out on the water this weekend.

Sweet setup. Did you order off that exact site? I'm thinking I might buy one for that price.

Thank you Rick and Yes, I bought it from that link. I also used the coupon code "TINA" to save an extra 7%. I paid US $121 incl. shipping to BC. I got to try it out on the Fraser this past Sunday and it worked great. I could still hear it @ 45MPH. Although the wind noise was really strong. It was great having tunes with me. I'm very happy. No hummimg or interference from the motor. Probably because it has it's own battery.
