After announcing last month that it would be shifting assembly of all-terrain vehicles to Mexico, Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. (BRP) yesterday unveiled one of the keys to its future here.

The privately owned manufacturer of the Ski-Doo and Sea-Doo officially inaugurated a cutting-edge, 200,000-square-foot assembly plant for snowmobiles and personal watercraft in this Eastern Townships community where it employs about 2,500.

The brightly lit and painted facility reopened this week after being shut more than a year for a makeover that cost more than $10 million.
