Family Ride Day In The Swamp

Wife Deborah rides with son William the Ladner swamp trails, joined at First Beach by Johnny, Huna, big boat Garrett & his mom Joanne. Deb gets weeded in trails. Will runs dry back at launch.

Next up: Biggest Best ride of the year;

Sat. 10:30am meet at 1st Beach for Super Big Billy Gulf Island Tour. 90+ miles. Weather forc: Blue Blazer.

Tides: 1113 - 13.1', 1613 - 9.8', 2144 - 14.4'. Perfect for Telegraph Boat Pass, Silva Bay short cuts, etc.
Program and route: Canoe Pass to Active Pass whale watch idle by. Dale's dock beer stop in Village Bay, on Maine Isle. Northerly Gulf Island Tour to Gabriola, maybe Naniamo, with lunch and gas stop at one of several good pubs along the way.

Afternoon cross Gulf to world famous "Wreck Beach" with wind at our backs, NW 5-15kts = dry and easy.
Stashed firewood at First Beach for post tour debrief and party.

If you miss this "Big One", sell your ski, and buy a kayak, because you're done.

Sat 80 mile Super Big Billy Gulf Island Tour

1 hour First Beach crossing Gulf thru Active Pass to Dale & Judy's in Village Bay, Mayne Island. 2 coolers lost and recovered on way, plus too many drinks at Dale's.
Montague Harbour, Sodomite Beach, Ganges Harbour on Saltspring for lunch till 4!
Too late to complete tour, so returned through Active Pass for home, not without complications. Back at 6.
Only 2 couples and 4 skis made it. The rest of you must be out buying kayaks. lol.

Busy at First Beach, Jet Ski Island with Mount Baker & walking on water. (sand bar island 1' down), William plowing weeds on stand up through French Creek, Big Billy trail riding pool, and racing the sunset trails.

55 miles round Richmond Lulu Island, Wreck Beach, Jet Ski Isle, to First Beach Lords' camp over party.
Jay & Linda on Caddy. Les 'n Deborah on Sea Cruise. Nice 4' following swells off North Arm.
Sometimes sacrifices by doubling must be made.
