yamaha 650/700 CDI identification needed

i found this in my mess of jetski parts, and i dont have any yamahas. its brand NEW in the box. not entirely sure what it is exactly though. the box it is in says MSD JET SKI PRO CD COIL Part # 4292. then the bag on the inside that the cdi is in says: ENHANCER IGNITION YAMAHA 650/700 part # 4253. So not sure which one it is. the unit itself says 61X-00 on it. anyone know what ski this fits? and how much is this worth? thanksss

Looks like you have yourself an msd ignition enhancer in an msd ignition coil box. That enhancer will fit any 650/701 yamaha engine.

I'd say you should be able to get about $150-$200 for it if it is in good working order.

ok cool!, the one i got is just black though, not red like the one in ur link. if it was msd it would say on the coil itself right? im thinkin its just a stock one in a msd bag and box lol.. ill take a pic later

Never seen a black one before. If it is indeed msd it will say so right on it.

By the sounds of it though it may just be a stock part in an msd box. If it is black and only has 61X-00 written on it than it sounds like a stock cdi from a single carb 701 yami. If so they are only worth about $40
