Brrrrrrrrrrr, too cold to do this now
But next year there are numerous good launching ramps around
On Lake Ontario (water is always cold)
Bronte, take the 1st road west of the bridge
Hamilton Bay, take Bay St to get there
The Grand River is another good spot, there are ramps in Caledonia, Dunville and Cayuga
The Grand River is always flat, it never gets rough and the water is much warmer than Lake Ontario
The ramp in Dunville is easy to find, you can see it from teh main road that runs beside the river
The get to the ramp in Cayuga take the side road that runs parallel to the river south (this road is just before the bridge that crosses the river)Last edited by philip_gpr; 11-24-2011 at 05:52 PM.

Thanks for the suggestions. We ended up going out thanksgiving weekend - it was a beautiful day and we dropped in at Bronte. Will have to try out grande river and I also hear the south end of lake Simcoe is good.
