The water off Jet Jam Cove, next to Crazy Horse Campgrounds, was turned into a blanket of churning whitewater Saturday morning when about 50 personal watercraft riders took off from the beach in a LeMans-style start for the second annual Mark Hahn Memorial race. Labeled as the world's longest continuous pwc race, teams made up of two or three alternating riders, tested their stamina in the 300 mile race, lasting five to six hours over a 7 1/2-mile-long course set up on Lake Havasu's north side. There also were some solo riders competing as ironmen in the endurance race sanctioned by the American Power Boat Association. Competitors used both sitdown and stand-up personal watercrafts in the race. Last year's winning team of Mike Fullmer and Billy Womack, using a Yamaha GP 1300 R, were back to defend their title.
