Hi Guys


I know almost nothing about these, is there any advise that you would give to a first timer? Do most people use a wetsuit or just tshirt & shorts ?

You can run it out of water but not for long. It is liquid cooled. I ride in the muskokas and just my shorts and life vest

run it on hose to be safe. Wetsuit - depends on the temps

Mike, always run on hose. If not an option, 10 sec tops!! Engine if cooled but the the exhaust is not and needs water. Also never run for more than a minute or two with water. The carbon seal never to be in the water to stay cool and lubed. When this seal burns out, and the do, you start to bring on water.

Here are a few tips that may help:

* NEVER start in water that is less than 3feet deep.
* Obtain your Canadian Pleasure Craft Operations Card by completing the course (required for legal operation) - http://www.boatsmartexam.com/en/
* Wetsuits work well
* Purchase and use a good approved PFD.
