race ski?

just bought a ski from the us that was used for receing he said,just wondering if wwe have races it would be good for and if it would work well,previously I have only had old skis that were lucky to hit 30mph I think this should be different
and take a little getting used to,the former owner said it was good for hole shots and would only do about 50mph top end?will this set up last? or will the higher compression kill it?built many race cars but this is my first venture into jetskis. specs below

I dont know any info about racing meets/events... But should be interesting if somebody post something here... I just hope to be lucky enough and watch one close to GTA...

the former owner of the ski says it was set for sea level,in windsor we are 622 ft above he says I might have to reset the timeing and adjust the carbs?do you think this is needed?it is a 787 with novi carbs is this hard to do?is there some one in the windsor area whom can do this?aprox cost?thanks.
