Default Riva Girdled Head Install Help

OK..so installing a head isn't exactly rocket science, but I've never had one that allows for dual cooling lines.

    Here's what I'm installing:

My stock head (oh yeah...2000 SuperJet) only has one water line running to it from a fitting at the rear of the hull (starter side of driveshaft). I noticed (as I am installinga new starter too) that on the carb side of the driveshaft there is a water fitting with no hose attached (not sure if that might be for a 2nd cooling line).

So anyways, what do I need to do to hook up a 2nd cooling line? or can I block one fitting off (maybe to be used for flushing)? or am I wrong and this head doesn't allow dual cooling lines?

Any help greatly appreciated....would love to try it out tomorrow!!

    Cheers

    UPDATE:

So I've been told it's not dual cooling...so at leats I know that. I've also been told there are a few ways to go about installing it. That said there is a post over at x-h20.com that has a cooling line setup that is apparently tried tested and true!!

I'm reading the Riva install guide and they say you have to take the flippin cylinder case off!!!! WOuldn't it be easier to just take out the cylinder bolts and replace with the long bolts that are part of the girdled kit??

i was told to hook mine up as follows. I have one line off the pump. tee the FFP manifold so it flows water to both cylinders. tee the single pump line into the manifold, at the manifold. tee both the fittings on the head back together and into the bottom of the header pipe. take the top of the header pipe and tee again, the straight part goes to the stinger with a flow valve, and the tee part goes overboard. you can use 1211 on the head with o-rings but it is harder to clean the o-rings for re-use, so i use Hylomar (Universal Blue) HPF.
you may or may not haver to remove the pipe to get to the base bolts and would be a good time tap the manifold.

Oh boy....this is starting to sound like carb setup advice ;-)

    check this thread:
    http://www.x-h2o.com/showthread.php?t=1667

I think the one thing I will do is put a 2nd line to the manifold (as I'me pretty sure there is only 1 right now). Beyond that...we'll see ;-)

I did also hear about a flow control valve that feeds the stinger....I'll try and find one if I can. It changes the amount of water going to the stinger automatically. Basically drys out the pipe when idling so you get better throttle response.

Actually...here's th thread I started on my favourite UK board about this head (as you can see it's full of opinions too...hehe)

yeah chuckie from team scream told me how to set up the cooling for my motor. its not the same way he told us to setup steve's stroker with dual cooling. I would take the advice from an engine builder over a web surfer any day. lol. It not rocket science and there is more then one way to do it. as long as it is cooling you motor and feeding the pipe with some good pressure you'll be fine.

looks like river rat is running dual cooling off his pump. i only run single cooling. check out the pic in my build thread....it shows most of the cooling lines from the head and the flow valve to the stinger.
