    Default Jet ski found, but not rider

    A RCMP helicopter searched the upper Pitt River Thursday for a jet ski and signs of a missing jet skier.

    It was the second time in two days police and search crews flew the stretch.

    Ridge Meadows RCMP said they received a report of a jet ski trapped in a log jam in the river Tuesday.

    Ridge Meadows Search and Rescue were called to assist.

    RCMP and local search and rescue crews called off the search for a missing jet ski rider after getting a somewhat belated call from the vehicle's owner. Search crews were out on Pitt Lake last week after an abandoned jet ski was spotted. The jet ski's owner called the police and informed them that he had fallen off the vehicle, but wasn't injured.
