    Default Ottawa Dealers???

I have a 2006 rxp sc and I am looking to change out the ceramic washers for metal ones. My questions to other Ottawa riders is where is the best place in and around the Ottawa area to go for this type of work? I have delt with Loiselle sports in embrun for winterizing and talked to staff at Georges marine and sports in carp. Also who has better prices on pwc accessories(pfd's,saftey kits etc).

    Thanks.

I think they are the only 2 dealers in the area, If i had a bit more experience in pwc mecanic I would had done them for you, but i'm still scared a bit of superchargers. I just baught my gtx last september and still getting familiar with that type of machines. good luck!!

Over at the green hulk forum they have a step by step thread on how to change em. It's pretty damn easy.

    Does this void warranties?

I just bought my 1st SC Ski too, and had the same questions.
I emaild Ed Huck Marina in Rockport. (West of Brockville)
This is the reply I got.

""BRP has suggested that any 4tec 2002-2008 with ceramic washers and 70 hours should have the supercharger rebuilt with the new titanium washer kit. The recommended service interval is every 100 hours after that. The charge for the service is $650 parts and labour (taxes are extra). If the ceramic washers are left and fail then the bits contaminate the oil system and the labour to clean it all out is much more extensive. The bill for that repair is about $1200. We stock the rebuild kits.

Let me know if you have any questions at this time.""

If BRP is recommending the work be done I would think warrenty would be safe. I emailed her on Friday and got this reply this AM. (Monday)

    Thanks for the reply jagz.

Doesn't surprise me they wouldn't directly answer the question. I want to do the work myself to save a few hundred dollars if possible. Plus, I think it's a good learning experience to do it on my own. I probably won't worry about the washers this year, but next year, I'll probably definately replace them.

    Default Washers

I am thinking the same thing. Ride it this summer then pull the SC and change the washers as a winter project. Jagz

Must be nice to have a garage! I may have to store mine at the dealers again this year... Unless I can find a better deal somewhere else.
