Default Vancouver Motorcycle Show - 2006

Abbotsford, BC – The upcoming Vancouver Motorcycle Show (January 26-29 at TRADEX) will feature the fastest and sexiest motorcycles on the market, along with a brand new component that features stunt shows, quad and trial demos and mini motard racing. On each day of the expanded four-day show, ticket holders will see top Pacific Northwest riders in this new, exciting addition to BC’s biggest motorcycle event.

    The 5thGear Stunt Team Show
For the first time in the history of the Motorcycle Show, the 5thGear Stunt Team is coming to TRADEX to thrill biking fans of all ages. Internationally known "Super Dave," and "Gasman" plus one of Canada’s top female stunt riders, "Hellcat Holly", will show off their riding skills, as will Israel (Mexican Man) Gonzaleas, Fish (extremeriderz), Falling Leif, and 5th Gear Billy. They will all take part in a stunt riding show rarely seen by the general public. Most of these riders work in the movie industry as stunt riders and are featured in the film Rock the 40 Oz, a compilation video from some of the best riders from all over North America. See gravity defying wheelies, endos and obnoxious burnouts. Between demonstrations you can meet the riders and check out their bikes, their gear and learn more about the stunt scene.

    Quad Demos
Pro Quad rider Willy Hitchon will display his world-renowned Quad riding technique, as he takes a Suzuki 500 cc quad (supplied by Motorcycle World in Surrey) up, over and all around an intricate obstacle course.

    Trials Demos
A Trial is a competition conducted over a series of observed sections of natural obstacles such as rocks, logs, water, and mud. The object is to ride a motorcycle through each of the sections within the time limit, losing as few points as possible. The Canada Pacific Northwest Trials Association, Canada’s premier Trials club, presents Ted Blow, Trials World Champion (69+ category), who originated the tricks "The Angry Truck Driver" and "Just Kidding." Blow will demonstrate highly technical trail riding on these precision machines made of lightweight alloy. Check out the demos and meet riders, learn how to get involved and where to find local trial riding areas.

    Mini Motard Racing
See how fast these wee bikes can go! Featuring riders from Pacific Northwest Mini Road Racing, including Paul Ludwig, Formula 80 Champion; Rollie, "the Parts Guy" Canadian Champion; Stewart Johnston and Vic (One Lung) Lewingston, these pimped out mini-motos and their riders will fly around TRADEX.

The Vancouver Motorcycle Show features more for the rider than ever before. The Show runs January 26-29 (Show opens Thursday!) at TRADEX and features all of the new 2006 models from all of the major manufacturers, under one roof. Add in these stunt shows, demos and races, plus all of the latest gear and accessories, not to mention Custom Alley, and you have one amazing Show. Tickets are $11.00 for adults, $6.00 for youth (6-15), free for children under 6 and $24.00 for families (2 adults, 2 youth). For more information visit

still undecided if i am going to go.

it's going to be packed with no breathing room, no great show deals from vendors, and it's SO far to drive!

not really interested in much of the demos they are putting on either. knowing most of these guys kinda makes it a non event.
